Cynthia Bertucci KayeFounder, President and Chief Executive OfficerCynthia B. Kaye graduated from Florida State University in 1987 with a degree in elementary education. While student teaching, Cynthia became excited about using Apple computers as a teaching tool. Her students were enthralled. This occurred long before technology gained the popularity it enjoys today in classrooms. With the encouragement of her mentor teachers, Cynthia soon realized that her true path and passion was to help schools utilize technology to enhance student learning. That burning passion and a healthy entrepreneurial spirit led Cynthia to develop Logical Choice Technologies in 1994. Cynthia’s care and concern for helping engage children in learning has transformed itself into a pervasive part of the company culture at Logical Choice. Cynthia’s story is the classic story of a successful entrepreneur. She started in the basement of her home in suburban Atlanta on a shoestring budget with five employees. They focused squarely on the education IT market in their home state. Now after 15 years, Logical Choice Technologies has grown to over 225 employees and narrowed its focus. “Our company is dedicated to bringing transformative technologies to the education marketplace,” said Cynthia Kaye, Founder and CEO of Logical Choice Technologies, … “technologies that will improve learning and achievement in the 21st Century classroom.” The staff works out of the company’s 48,000 square foot headquarters based in Lawrenceville, Georgia plus regional offices in San Diego, Los Angeles and New York. Remote sales and service employees are spread across 10 states.
As CEO, Cynthia’s responsibilities include the overall management and vision of the company with a keen focus on sales and strategic direction. She provides the leadership to execute the corporate strategy and build the infrastructure that supports the company’s rapid growth.
Cynthia graduated from the prestigious three-year Birthing of Giants program hosted by the world-renowned MIT Enterprise Forum, Inc. Magazine and the Young Entrepreneurs Organization (YEO) in June 2000. This unique executive education program picks the top 60 growth-minded entrepreneurs every year out of hundreds of applicants worldwide.
INC. Magazine named Logical Choice Technologies to the Inc. 500, the magazine’s list of the 500 fastest growing private companies in America for the years 1999 and 2000. In 2008, Logical Choice was named one of the fastest growing women-led companies in North America by Entrepreneur Magazine. Logical Choice Technologies was recently awarded the 2009 Pinnacle Small Business Award for companies with 100+ employees and featured in Fortune Small Business Magazine.
Cynthia has been married to Ron Kaye, the CTO at Logical Choice, for over 20 years and they have four children.
