SHARED, SEARCHABLE RESOURCES
Activstudio and Activprimary software contain thousands of resources including lessons, activities, backgrounds and graphics. Resources for Activstudio are indexed by key word, making it easy for teachers to access, and significantly reduce lesson preparation time. Activstudio also provides a search capability for teacher-created lessons, making them readily available to other teachers throughout the school and district. Many schools divide up the coursework, further reducing preparation time. Completed lessons can be stored on a school or district server. Teachers can access additional lessons via the Promethean website as they become available from our user community.

Magnifier Tool
Using the magnifier tool you can zoom in on an Activstudio flipchart page or any other application. The graphics engine ensures that text characters remain crisp when the image is magnified. Unlike other software products, users can write on and manipulate magnified images.

Interactive Protractor
Activstudio’s protractor is more than a picture; it is an intelligent, fully functional tool. As with a physical protractor, students are able to draw segments and angles using the tool. Translucent over any image, the protractor has built-in rotation capability. The image is visible as it is being rotated, and the numbers stay in a vertical, easy-to-read position. Because of the graphics engine, the tool remains clear and crisp, even when magnified.


Interactive Ruler
The ruler is also an intelligent, fully functional tool, capable of measuring any image on the screen using inches, centimeters or millimeters. Easily rotated, the ruler displays the degree of rotation, and has a crisp image, even when magnified. Like a physical ruler, the tool can also be used to draw straight lines.


STUDENT PARTICIPATION OPTIONS
Activstudio integrates student feedback right into the lessons! Students can respond in several different ways: verbally; using the Activboard; via a wireless slate; or with the Activote hand-held response system. The Activote student response system is ideal for whole group, formative assessment.


Teachers can see results immediately, and then tailor their lessons to specific concepts that students have not yet fully grasped. With Activotes, teachers can: integrate questions into their lessons; pose questions on the fly; and use questions embedded in other software or on the web.
